William Imus (1739-1835) of Arlington, Vermont emigrated from England to the colonies and founded two families whose lineages are the object of my study. My work-in-progress builds on the prior labors of Jerald A. Cunningham and Raymond M. Imus. Because I cannot vouch for the accuracy of all their data, I invite your corrections and updates. Work is especially needed on the history of the family in Britain because nothing reliable has yet been determined.
