Robert Elliott was born in Ireland Abt 1793 and married Eleanor ? who was born in Abt 1793. Jane Elliott was their first child born January 1822. Thomas was their first son born June2, 1823. The faimily left Ireland after two more daughters were born which was Sarah and Eleanor. Robert was a witness for a will for a BOYD in Mill Creek Township, Coshocton County, Ohio in 1826. He also appears on the tax records for 1828, 29, and 30. He is also in the 1830 census for Mill Creek Township. Eleanor (Ellen) his wifes obituary state she came from Tyrone County Ireland. Thomas Elliott came to the states after his birth in Ireland sometime after 1823. He lived and died in Whiteyes Township, Coshocton County, Ohio. He and his immediate family apear in the 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 census. He married Mary Anne Ling dau of Henry and Elenore ELLIOTT Ling on March 30. 1848. To this union, nine children were born. Caroline Abt 1849; Robert William, December 7, 1851; John T. Abt 1853; Nancy J. Abt 1855; Henry A. February 18, 1858; Mary E. Abt 1860; Sarah E. Abt 1862; Lola D. Abt 1864; and Alice E. Abt 1866. Thomas died on December 11, 1890, Mary Anne December 19, 1888; Henry A. September 5, 1938, and Alice E. on December 24, 1881. The four above individuals are buried in Amity Cemetery in Keene Township, Coshocton County, Ohio. |
