226. Gerrard GREEN* was born about 1740 in VA. He resided GREENBRIAR, VA in 1772. He resided AUGUSTA, VA in 1772. He resided GREENBRIAR, VA in 1774. He resided MADISON, KY in 1797. He died in Oct 1810 in GARRARD CO., KY. Gerrard Green lived in Greenbriar County, Va for many years and was perhaps an early settler there. Records in Augusta County, VA of 1772, show that he was granted a certificate for growing hemp. He settled 103 acres of land in Greenbriar County, which was surveyed for him in 1774. December 24, 1783, he entered 100 acres of land on Elk River. In 1797, he sold out and with his family and married children moved to Madison County, KY where he settled on Paint Lick Creek, which is the boundary between Madison and Garrard counties. He was married to Elizabeth TURPIN* about 1760.

227. Elizabeth TURPIN* was born about 1746 in VA. She died in GERRARD CO., KY. Children were:

child iv. Ann GREEN was born between 1760 and 1766 in VA.
child v. Henry GREEN. Henry Green filed for a Revolutionary War Pension in 1841 from Clay Co., MO. He was rejected because he had not served in the war for a period of more than 6 months. At that time, he was 78. When he served, he resided on William Lacy's farm on the New River under Capt. Archibald Woods.
