262. Joseph Clark (151) was executor of his father's will in 1769 in Camp Creek MM, Louisa Co., Virginia. (151) Joseph Clark married Mary - will probated in Louisa 1774. His 400 acre plantation, 200 acres of which was his fathers home plantation, was located in the southern part of Louisa Co, probably on or near Fork Creek. In 1767 Joseph is listed as being taxed for 400 acres in Trinity parish on the South side of the South Anna River. In 1768 he is listed in the same parish with four tithables (himself, his son Benjamin, and 2 slaves) and 400 acres of land. He continues to be taxed in this parish in 1771 and 1773 (when he had 3 slaves). In his will, Joseph bequeaths land "in North Carolina on the south side of the PD River" There was a Joseph Clark who paid taxes in Bladen County in 1763. Joseph Clark's Estate was appraised in 1774 at a value of over 532 pounds. His wife Mary, survived him, as his will provides that she use the home plantation for life after which it was to go to his daughters. His daughter Lucy married John Stone in 1756 and second Armsbee Crews March 9, 1772 in Va. Daughter Ursula married Thomas Martin 12 Nov. 1770 (Douglas Registar). The Surety was John Veneable and witness was Randal Haley.
