27. Mary Donaldson⁽⁴⁾ was born on 10 Jul 1833 in Belfast, Ireland. She died on 22 Feb 1916 in home of daughter, Brown Co., Nebraska.⁽⁴⁾ Mary Donaldson Higginson Shattuck died while visiting her daughter Ida Crabtree. John and Ida Crabtree had built a house in the Niobrara River Canyons about 5 miles N and 12 miles E of Ainsworth. That house later became the home of my (Raleigh Emry) childhood. US Hwy 183 now crosses through that land. The house is about 1/4 mile east of the highway, in the canyons. Mary was my great-great grandmother. She was buried in Highland Grove Cemetery, Brown Co., Nebraska.⁽⁴⁾ Mary Donaldson, Higginson, Shattuck is buried in the cemetery between Ainsworth and Meadville, Nebraska (about 6 miles North of Ainsworth). IMMIGRATION: Mary Donaldson was born near Belfast, Ireland. She came to Canada as a nursemaid for a rich family. After Ed Higginson's death she married George Shattuck.
