James F "Tony" Hodson ^{(13)(9) (16) (14)(30)} was born on 11 Jun 1826 in Randolph Co., Indiana. He appeared on the census in 1860 in Jefferson Co., Iowa.⁽³⁹⁾ No wife, 34 years old. He and daughter Elizabeth (6) were living with his sister Mrs. Solomon Nordyke He appeared on the census on 17 Jun 1870 in Penn Twp., Jefferson Co., Iowa. ⁽⁴⁰⁾ He died on 12 Mar 1893 in Jefferson Co., Iowa. Upon settlement of his estate, each of his 5 girls got $80.14; his 4th wife got $200.24. He was buried in Walnut Creek Friends Cemetery, Penn Twp., Jefferson Co., Iowa. He was Quaker.
