716. Freda Doris Emry (311) was born on 5 Aug 1911 in Norden, Keyapaha Co., Nebraska. She died on 6 Apr 1949 in Ainsworth, Brown Co., Nebraska. (231) She was buried after 6 Apr 1949 in Pleasant Vale Cemetery, Keyapaha Co., Nebraska. (311) Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Norden [Nebraska] with Rev. Phifer in charge. Mrs. Freda Hood Buried at Norden

Freda Doris Emry was born near Norden, Nebr., August 5, 1911 and passed away at the Ainsworth hospital, April 6.
Most of her life was spent in and around Norden with the exception of four years in Mabton, Washington.
On April 16, 1931 she was united in marriage to Jesse H. Hood. To this union four children were born, Donald, Louise, Hubert and Cleo.
She was a member of the Rebecca lodge at Mabton, Washington.
In February, 1947, she was stricken with paralysis from which she never fully recovered. She went to Spears sanitarium in Denver, last September, and remained there six months, but her health gradually failed and she returned to the home of her parents near Long Pine. She was taken to the Ainsworth hospital March 27 where she passed away April 6th. She was a patient sufferer and many long hours were spent reading her Bible in which she found solace and comfort in her long illness.
She is survived by her husband Jesse Hood of Sunnyside, Washington, four children, Donald Leroy, Doris Louise, Hubert James and Cleo Annette, all of Long Pine, her father, Jess M. Emry, mother, Mrs. Florence (Evans) Emry, two brothers, Kenneth and Russell Emry of Long Pine, and a sister, Mrs. Phyllis Campbell of Moristown, S.D., other relatives and many friends. An infant brother preceded her in death.
Funeral Services were held at the Methodist church in Norden with Rev. Phifer in charge.
A quartet composed of Glee Strenger, Leonard McCormick, Howard McCormick and Edmund Fisher sang "Where He Leads Me." "Old Rugged Cross" and "Face to Face," accompanied by Vera Fisher at the piano.
Pallbearers were Gerald Swim, Vern Swim, Hans Davis, Wilber Mundorf, Donald Ray Rosenback and Franklin Egelhoff.
Burial was in the South cemetery at Norden.

She was married to Jesse Henry Hood (son of Henry Hood) on 16 Apr 1931 in Norden, Keyapaha Co., Nebraska. (311) Freda Doris Emry and Jesse Henry Hood had the following children:
