RITES SET FOR MILTON CARLSON

Funeral services for Milton Carlson, a resident of Clearbrook, will be
held Wednesday, September 18th at 11:00 a.m. at the Good Shepherd
Lutheran Church in Clearbrook, with Pastor Paul Knutson officiating.
Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery, rural Clearbrook, under the
direction of the Cease Funeral Home of Bagley.

Milton Carlson passed away, Monday, September 16th at the Clearwater
County Memorial Hospital in Bagley at the age of 84. He was born August
20, 1901 in Minneapolis, the son of S. August and Sophie Carlson. He was
baptized and confirmed in the Swedish Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. He
moved to Clearbrook in 1928, and was employed as Janitor at the
Clearbrook school for many years. He was sexton of Sliver Creek
Cemetery, a Member of the Clearbrook Senior Citizens Group and a member
of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

He maried Myrtle Marmorine June 11, 1927 in Minneapolis. She passed away
February 16, 1955. He married Julia Hinman October 27, 1956 at
Clearbrook. She died November 18, 1972.

Milton Carlson is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John (Cleone) Westin of
Coon Rapids, one step daughter, Carol Hallan of Minneapolis, one sister,
Ruth Johnson of Minneapolis, one sister, Ruth Johnson of Minnneapolis, 3
grandchildren, and 3 great grand children. He was preceded in death by
his parents, his wives, and one brother.(2)
