James Madison Head II was born 26 May 1948, and died 05 Jun 2001 in Gainesville, Florida. He married Linda Gail Corbett, daughter of Wesley Benjamin Corbett and Mary Blance Eubanks.

James Madison Head II, 53, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at the Veteran's Hospital in Gainesville, Fla.
Memorial Services will be held today, June 9, 2001, at 4 p.m. at his home in Sylvester, Ga.
To his wife he was Jim; to his sons he was Dad; to his grand-daughters he was Granddaddy; to others he was Jimmy. In his lifetime the world barely recovered from "the war to end all wars" before it was ravaged by the wars in Korea, Viet Nam, and the Persian Gulf. Because of his service those who mourn his death can admire him for his sacrifices.
He served with valor in the Big Red One, First Infantry Division. He was a decorated Viet Nam war veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #30 and the DAV.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda Gail Head and son, James M. Head, III of Albany, Ga.; son, Jeffrey Head of Tallahassee, Fla.; granddaughters, Tessa Head and Jeanie Head, both of Tallahassee, Fla.; two sisters, Linda Pealer of Lakeland, Fla., and Leslie Grant of Panama City, Fla.; three brothers, Lester Head of Panama City, Fla., Patrick Berry of Gainesville, Fla., and Michael D. Head of Danville, Ill.
