Eulogy is a word related to praise, as we began this process, we realized that
our "DAD" would not have wanted it that way.
We can, instead, bring you the message we feel he would have given.
We, after all, cannot assess all of his accomplishments, not can we follow specific
incidents that made the man.
ON KINDNESS: To the extent of your being, be kind. Look for the ways, do this
for you. The joy you will receive cannot be measured.
ON GIVING LOVE: It is an earned skill. Watch the eyes and feel the reaction.
These are the windows through which you'll find the spasms of joy when love
happens. Don't limit the quantity or quality on giving love.
ON RECEIVING LOVE: You won't always get love in the ways you want. Look for
the ways the giver
gives it best. Rejoice in each act of love you receive.
ON BIGOTRY AND HATE: Be aware that those qualities exist within each of us.
They can only be dealt with as they occur; recognize that they are wrong and
fight them at each turn.
ON CORRUPTION: Aren't we all, just a little.
ON HIS FRIENDS: You are a very large part of the sum total of all that I have
been. I love you. Thank you.
ON HIS IN-LAWS, NIECES AND NEPHEWS: A finer group of people, could not have
been assembled. To give to me zest, care diversity and the commitment to family.
I love you.
ON HIS BROTHER, SISTER, CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN AND ALL THEIR HUSBANDS AND WIVES:
My efforts have borne fruit. I no longer need be concerned with your tomorrows.
Please pass whatever I have given you on. It's not ours to keep anyway. You
will be rewarded; I'll see you again.
ON HIS WIFE, FERNE: You have been the light in my life, the nourishment for
my happiness on earth. Please carry my banner for a time. Remember our oneness
and fear not, our eternity together has been assured.
Please be happy for me. The small pains and inequities are through. I now dwell
with our Lord. We have an eternal spring.
HIS FINAL MESSAGE IS THIS: If I have touched you in any way, please share what
you have felt, in order to touch someone else.
Grieve not for me. The eternal sun I stand in warms me through; The auras and
smells of love surround me. I have no cares or concerns. The ground upon which
I walk is soft and pleasurable.
I AM WITH GOD. I LOVE ALL OF YOU. I HAVE ALL I WANT. He was married to
