JAMES THOMAS GOODWIN

James Thomas Goodwin, one of eleven children, was born July 11, 1899 in Taylor
County, Iowa to Isaac and Cordelia Sumners Goodwin. He passed away February 4, 1981 at
his home in Hastings, IA. at the age of 81 years. He was formerly a resident of Villisca.
He was married to Alma Fisher and to this union one son and three daughters were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, eight sisters and one brother. He is survived by his children, Arthur Goodwin, Hastings, Iowa, Doris Thuman, Villisca, Iowa, Lois Ewing and Mildred McConkey of Malvern, Iowa; one sister, Elsie Rinehart of California; twelve
grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews In Loving Memory Of

ALMA EDITH GOODWIN

Alma Edith Goodwin, daughter of John A. and Eva Hixenbaugh Fisher, was born near Meadville, Mo., on March 3, 1897. and Entered Into Eternal Rest on December 9, 1982, at the age of 85 years nine months, and six days She came to Iowa as a small child with her family in a covered wagon and they settled in Southwest Iowa where she spent most of her life. She attended school in Villisca. Alma was a member of the Advent Christian Church and attended faithfully until her health failed.
On November 6, 1919, Alma was united in marriage to James Thomas Goodwin and to this union four children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and four brothers, Vernon, Arthur, Lee and Elmer.
She is survived by her four children: Mildred McConkey and husband Delmar of Malvern, Ia.; Arthur and his wife Jeannie of Hastings, Ia.; Doris Thuman and her husband Leo of Hastings,Ia.; and Lois Ewing and her husband Charles of Malvern, Ia.; twelve grandchildren; eleven great.grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
