William Driskill AKA: Driskell, Duskill, Duskey
Born abt 1791/92 in Maryland, married Elizabeth Leonard on October 28, 1814 in Clermont Co., Ohio. About 1829 William moved to Tippecanoe Co., Indiana, where he raised a large family. His parents remain a mystery unsolved.
A clue to William Driskills family origins may lie in the possible relationship to Perry Driskill who lists in some census records as being born in Maryland, and who married Nancy Lear and lived in Brown/Clermont Co., Ohio until abt 1842 when he moved his family to Tippecanoe Co., Indiana and lived within a few farms of William Driskill and his Childrens families. After the death of Perry and Nancy, some of thier minor children are listed in the census as living with Thomas, son of William. The family tie, if any, between the Perry and William Driskill families is another mystery yet to be solved on the endless and facinating genealogical journey of the Driskill Family.
