It's All Relative! The Boatwright /Hall FamilyUpdated September 5, 2000 |
I am having a wonderful time researching my branches on my family tree, maybe we are long lost cousins and don't even know it. Do you have any Boatwrights, Halls, Fox(s), Pelts, or VanSants in your branches? These are the only names I have so far. We came from England originally I think, into Virginia and then on to North Carolina and South Carolina.Bowler Hall lived in Virginia in the 1700's. We know that he married a Native American woman and had at least one child named Elijah. Elijah was married to Mary VanSant and was a gunsmith in SC. His son was Elbert, who married Louiza Pelt. Their daughter Julia Hall married a gentleman named Southern Fox and was a midwife in Lexington County South Carolina and had several children, one of whom was my beloved grandmother Estelle Fox Boatwright. So there you have it, what I know so far.The Boatwrights I have traced back to a William but boy you can imagine how many Williams there are, so I'm kind of stuck there. If any of these branches sound familiar, let me know, I would love the help since I don't have a clue as to what I am doing. Thanks!Jan |
