Fairfield Daily Journal, Sat, 28 Oct 1911: Jackson Ankrom, a well known resident of Jefferson County, died suddenly last evening about 7 o'clock at a boarding house in Koala where he had been staying for the past few days while attending the Coop divorce trial. Age 71 years. Had spent the greater part of his life in and around Fairfield. Survived by two children, Claude of Oregon and Mrs Maude Smith, Vermilion, Kan., Two sisters and three brothers: Mrs Wm Coop and Mrs Henry Keltner of this city, Eli Ankrom of Moulton, Elias of Oregon and John of Oklahoma. The remains were brought to this city this afternoon and the funeral will probably be tomorrow. Parents: John Henry ANKROM and Hannah FRANCIS.
