He worked for the U.S. Postal Service before his retirement in 1992. Survivors include his brothers, William of Blaine, Wash., and Richard of Port Orchard, Wash.; and sisters, Shirley Zook of Rockaway Beach and Eleanor Nida of Nehalem.
