Burial is in the Beechwood cemetery Richard Ankrom Jr also settled on the Tenmile, but a few miles west of Fort Jackson, taking titles to several tracts of land, including "The Square" on Purseley Creek and Newburn and Emsworth between Purseley and Smith Creeks. From the sale of this land we know that he and wife, Ruth ?, went to Tyler County (now in WV) (Green Co, Pa Deed Book 3, pp 605). They sold their land to John Burkhamer. On March 3, 1802, they sold "Emsworth" to Elizabeth Cree. When Richard Ankrom Jr died in Tyler, Co, WV, he mentions only his son, John, by name, giving him the home place, stating he had already taken care of the other children, whose names are not listed. He stated in his will that John who was deceased and leaves that share in the ester to two sons of John who were Richard and William. Richard also named granddaughters Nancy and Sarah Delashmutt and his wife Elizabeth Duckett.

The Ankrom family of the Tenmile County are descended from one Richard Ankrom of Frederick County, Maryland, where at an early date he and George Fee, ancestor of the Tenmile Fee Family, joined in buying land from John Howkins. (BB 3 p. 572 Annapolis Land Office). While living in Frederick County, Richard Ankrom {Sr} made his will on November 29, 1790 which was probated February 8, 1794 in which he named his sons: Richard Ankrom III, Jacob Duckett Ankrom, John Ankrom, and Aaron Ankrom. He stated in his will that John Ankrom, is deceased and leaves that share in the estate to two sons of John Ankrom - namely: Richard and William Ankrom. He also mentioned his granddaughters Nancy and Sarah Delashmutt. He lists his wife as Elizabeth. (Frederick County, Maryland, Will Book 2, pp. 507).
