bulletEbenezer DAGGETT was born about 1693 in Marblehead, Mass. He died on 8 Apr 1762 in Sutton, Worchester, Mass.. He married first Hannah Sibley, second Hannah Lilley, by Rev. Richard Brown in Reading, Hannah Lilley was the widow of Mr. Burnap. Ebenzer was a carpenter in Salem, and 3 Feb. 1716 Jona King of Salem, sells him and his brother Samuel equal parts of land in a new township called Sutton, MA. containing 200 acres, for 26 pd. They were amoung the first families who settled in Sutton. All of his children were born in Sutton.

Ebenezer was a carpenter in Salem, Mass in 1718. He and his brother, Samuel, sold their land and bought equal one half parts of one-fifteenth part of one-tenth of a tract of land in the township of Sutton, Suffolk county, Mass., containing two hundred acres, for 26L (L=pounds). Ebenezer and Samuel were among the original thirty families who settled in the town of Sutton and the proprietors of the four thousand acres. The will of Ebenezer's will was dated April 7, 1762 and proved April 26, 1762. Parents: William DAGGETT and Rebecca WORMSTALL.

bullet Susannah DAGGETT was born on 6 Feb 1684 in Saco, Maine. She died on 14 Jan 1753 in Charleston, Washington, Rhode Island. Of Susannah Daggett, Irish, in his history of Richmond, R.I., tells this story: (p. 92) "When a small child she was taken to the wigwam of an Indian chief by his squaw who found her lost in the woods. Late at night the chief returned home and told the squaw of a plan adopted to exterminate the whites. She cautioned him saying there is a little pale face sleeping on a bed of skins in the wigwam. The chief then told her that the child must die, to which she remonstrated, saying that she had promised to take her home in the morning. The chief passing a firebrand over the face of Sussanah and observing no sign of consciousness spared her life and she was able afterwards to give her friends timely warning and thwart the plan of the Indians."
While living in Westerly, R.I. Susannah and John sold their interest in her fathers estate on May 16, 1730 in Biddeford to her brother Samuel who lived in Sutton. Parents: William DAGGETT and Rebecca WORMSTALL.

bullet William DAGGETT was born in 1661 in Marblehead, Kent, Massachusetts. He died before Jan 1695 in Marblehead, Mass. Tradition is that he came from Scotland. He was granted 10 acres in Saco, 3 Dec. 1681, at the head of Wormstall's lot. The early settlers of Saco were not like other fathers of New England, religious secarians. ln 1685/89 he removed to Marblehead, MA and was a carpenter. After the death of his wife he purchased six in Salem, MA.

May 10, 1684 at a town meeting legally held by the freeholders of Saco, William Daggett was chosen to be constable for that year. William continued to reside in Saco until some time between 1685 and 1689 when he moved to Marblehead, Mass. In 1691 he gave evidence in regard to the will of Robert Bennett and was then according to the evidence about 30 years of age. June 11, 1691 he is mentioned in an account with the estate of Jona Catchell. In 1692 a James Beale had small-pox at Marblehead and William was his nurse. March 25, 1693 he executed a mortgage on his cattle and goods for four years rent of a house and land valued at 25L (L meaning libra or pound) to Mr. Erasmus James.

Charles E. Dahlstrom

MISSOULA - Charles E. Dahlstrom, 74, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, after a courageous 5-year battle with leukemia.

He was born May 14, 1924, in Missoula, the youngest son of John and Paloma Dahlstrom's four sons. He was a lifelong resident of Missoula.

Chuck served his country in World War II and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He owned a small business, Chuck's Standard Service, in Missoula, and then worked for KGMY, KGVO, and KYLT radio stations.

He was an avid fan and supporter of the UM Grizzlies and he worked for many years with the UM Track Team. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the American Legion and a 32nd Degree Mason. He loved the outdoors and throughout his life was a true cowboy at heart.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Betty; daughter Memry Hage; son Michael Dahlstrom; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and brother Neil Dahlstrom. He was prededed in death by brothers Earl and Stan.

A celebration of Chuck's life will be 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, September 11, at the Double Tree/Edgewater.

Everyone who met Chuck was touched in a very special way. He was a loving husband, father and friend to all. Parents: Johan Hjalmer DAHLSTROM and Paloma Glee GRAHAM.
