years. Mr Fenimore was a member of the IOOF and Masonic Lodges in
Peru, but did not continue membership after coming to Carthage. He

Pennsylvania Insurrection of 1794 and was discharged on the 24th of
December in 1794. He was in the company led by Captain Colins in the
1st Regiment Infantry in the Burlington Militia. in Springfield,

Benjamin was a private and while serving at Sackett Harbor, New York he and his brother Samuel who were nearly identical twins were stricken with the same illness and were discharged together on the 1st of June in 1815 at Buffalo, New York. Benjamin applied for a pension on the 2nd of Jun in 1815 and began recieving an annual pension of $60.00 on the 26th of Jan in 1816. His take home pay annually was $53.83.

He is identified as such in various news accounts and in the United States Census. He is listed in various Philadelphia City Directories as builder or carpenter. He traveled in the course of his work and could be found in Delanco and Beverly, New Jersey, as well as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
