Jan 1990: Marty's grandfather Lloyd Fenimore gave him some family history that he had been working on in the five years just prior to his death with the request Marty continue and complete the family history.

During his younger years Marty started with the cub scout program and followed it through into Boy Scouts. As an adult he was a Blazer leader, and assistant Scout Master twice.

Other past time activities include Gardening, Hiking and Camping. He also enjoys searching the local caves. Marty climbed Mt St Helens in Washington state with his brother Dale in July 1998. Married Christina Veronica Finch on 25 September 1993 in Lake Oswego, Oregon Prior this marriage Marty sold his home in Vancouver, Washington and purchased a home at 3213 Ohio Street in Longview, Washington in Sep 1990.

Married Donna Pitzer 11/26/1978 at Battle Ground, Washington, Divorced 7 April 1987 at Vancouver, Washington. Marty and Donna dated while attending La Center High School together. Marty had joined the Air Force in 1975 and after Donna graduated in 1977 they married a few months latter. Marty and Donna lived in Washington DC until Marty transfered to Okinawa, Japan and then Donna arrived four months latter. Both sons were born in Okinawa. Matthew was just under two years old and Kyle was six months when they decided to not reinlist in the service and returned home. Marty and Donna managed apartments after returning to the States from Japan in Feb of 1981. After a few months they quit that employment and moved to a larger apartment and rented in Vancouver until they purchased a home in June of 1994 at 4106 NE 139th Ave. in Orchards, Washington. After the marriage ended in 1987 Marty and their two sons remained in the home until September of 1989 when he sold the home and purchased a home in the Heights section of Vancouver. He sold that home a year to the week he purchased it and moved to Longview, Washington 50 miles to the Northwhere he was employed Marty's favorite past times are hiking, landscaping, camping, and geneaology .
Just before Marty's Grandfather Lloyd Fenimore passed away he gave nine volumes of family historical information to Marty and tasked him to complete the work. Many of the people Lloyd contacted for information had passed away within a few years of his acquiring their information. Marty accepted what turned out to be quite a challenge until he started using a computer and has been working on the same to the present. Parents: Victor Lane FENIMORE and Patsy Yvonne CLAYTON.

He was married to Laura Denise COOPER on 29 Jun 2000 in Eugene, Lane, Oregon. Marty and Laura were married in the back yard of the home they purchased a week earlier in Eugene, Oregon. Guests were in attendance from across the US. Since Laura and Martin were 3rd cousins prior to the marriage some of the guests who were first cousins had reunions that had not taken place in many years.

Marty divorced Christina in the Hall of Justice located in Longview, Washington. Marty divorced Christina (at the advice of the Longview Police Department and family lawyer) to protect himself from Christina's daughter Katrina who had made a sexual abuse allegation charge against him. When Katrina's allegation was proven false she threatened Marty by advising him she was not through with him yet and would make another allegation. Marty sought legal council and followed their advice and ended the marriage. Katrina had made five previous allegations against other persons including her former LDS Bishop. She stole possessions from the home, involved in illegal drugs and took a automobile without permission and is involved with the Juvenile system in the state of Washington due to a hit an run accident without a dirivers license.
