Walter Douglas Jessop (son of Walter Jessop and Eva Wells) was born 1918, and died April 09, 2000.
Notes for Walter Douglas Jessop:
Was raised on the prairies of North Battleford, Saskatchewan. In his early years he played hockey, became a King Scout, played the violin and was an accomplished swimming and diving competitor. Walter returned in England, in 1937 he married Veronica. Returned to Canada..., in 1952, with his wife and daughter, Yvonne. He worked for Yarrows, as a machinist, for many years and retired in 1983. During his working years Walter enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, golfing and he received his pilots license at 50. Walter's interest in photgraphy, astronomy and current events kept him active in his retirement years. He was predeceased by his wife Allie, his former wife Veronica and his grandson, Jamie. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Yvonne (Ernie); brother, Don (Nan), Merb (Maryanne), sister, Phyllis (Rich); grandchildren, Doug (Kerry) and Angela (Doug); great-grandchildren, Ryan and Dana and several nieces and newphews. His quick wit and unique manner endeared him to all who met hi.
Memorial Service held in First Memorail Funeral Chapel 4724 Falaise Dr., Victoria BC on Thursday April 13, at 2pm.
