Also, my notes from the >day we talked to Mr. Robert Walker - a grandson of Mary Elizabeth Nixon and Samuel Walker - he said our George W and your John died of that old slow fever. i don't know what that is, but he said he thought John died ca 1879.

It looks like we have found another Alexander Walker descendant! I recognize some of your information, but not all of it. There may be many mistakes, however, you come from Samuel L. Walker. I am going to turn over your print out to a gentleman named Earl Dean France, who is also a descendant from Samuel L. Walker. He has been studying this line for many years & lives in Dekalb Co.,Tn, where the older Alexander lived. I am descended from Son John's 1880 cnesus says father is from TN


Samuel's brother William, & we have many in our group who keep in touch with each other who are descended from another brother of Samuel & William, namely Hampton Walker. You may be hearing from Debbie any moment. She called me already! I will get back to you when I can check a few things. We are all looking for Alexander & his wife Gilley ? before Dekalb Co., Tn & who were their parents.

I just replied to you on the genweb, however I am glad you have contacted me because I have two people for you to contact. Ronnie Glenn is from Samuel Walker, the son of Hampton. His e-mail is rlglenn602@hotmail.com. The other is Earl Dean France who does not have e-mail, but his address is: 307 Jennings Ln., Smithville, TN 37166. He is from the older Samuel Walker.
The children of the older Alexander Walker & wife Gilley, were Nancy, William H., Samuel L., Mahalah, Hampton M., Wiley C., John B., George W., & Willis. I am descended from the son William H., & his son Alexander L. Walker.
Samuel L. Walker's wife was Mary Elizabeth Nixon. If you will give me your address, I will send it to Earl along with copies of what you sent. He insists on knowing documentation to avoid any errors. He does not have e-mail, but lives in Smithville, TN where all these Walkers lived when coming from NC & SC.
Have you heard from Debbie yet? She is descended from Hampton & has been working very hard trying to go beyond the older Alexander. Reach her at idahorose02@aol.com. She is the one that found you! So far, we have only heard from descendants of Samuel, Hampton, & William.
