Parents: Isaac H. Ferguson + Elizabeth Johnson (“Selected History of Madison County IL”)
Married Elizabeth Blakeman 9 Nov 1831 Madison Co IL (Madison Co IL Marriage Records, Vol 6, p 23, #882).
Died 31 Oct 1878 Marine, Madison Co IL. (Probate record is on file in IL State Archives. I have sent for the record, but they have been slow.)
Buried in Marine City Cemetery, located about halfway between Marine and St Jacob, Madison Co IL. (“Cemetery and Tombstone Inscriptions of Madison County IL”, Vol 6 p 58. Lists dates of birth and death. His wife not listed.)
Was the first postmaster and had the office in his home.
