6. Thomas Welles + was born on Dec 11 1605 in Colchester, Essex , England. He was one of the earliest English inhabitants of Ipswich. He took the Freeman's oath at Boston, May 7, 1637. He had a house lot granted to him in 1635, on the south side of the river, near where the Stone Bridge now is, and afterwards, in 1638, " planting lands" near " Heart-break Hill." He died on Oct 26 1666 in Salisbury, Essex Co. Ma.. He has reference number 2312.

He was married to Abigail Warner (daughter of William Warner and Abigail Baker) on Jul 23 1630 in St Boltoph's Colchester,Essex, England. Abigail Warner was christened on Jun 2 1614 in Boxted, Essex, England. She was born in 1620 in Boxstead, Essex,England. She died on Jul 22 1671 in Salisbury, Essex Co. Ma..
