FIRST GENERATION

1. William Collier + was born about 1585 in London, England UK. He died before Jul 5 1671 in Duxbury, Ma.. He was one of the 58 original financial backers of the Plymouth Company. He was Grocer in Southwalk, which is just over London Bridge, and was the only Investor to have the courage to join the Mayflower group in 1633. He undoubtedly knew them pre. 1620. He was appointed to many positions in Plymouth including 'review the laws' which shows he had considerable education. He was' the richest man in the Colony' with 4 unmarried daughters! The oldest was Mary, the others married Job Cole, Love Brewster and Constant Southworth, step son of Gov. Bradford.

He was married to Jane Clarke on May 16 1611 in St. Olave Parish, Southwark, Surry, England. Jane Clarke was born in 1590 in London, England UK. She died after Jun 28 1666 in Duxbury, Ma.. William Collier + and Jane Clarke had the following children:
