213. Augustus Dennis (Gasden)
FRAZIER was born on Jun 10 1833. He died on Apr 9 1903. He served in
the military in Civil War Veteran. Company K, 55th North Carolina Infantry of
Brig. Gen. Joseph Davis' Mississippi Brigade, and Maj. Gen. J. J. Pettigrew's
Division in Gen. A. P. Hill's Corp, Army of Northern Virginia.

The 1850 Census lists a Gasden as 19 years old. This will agree with the birth
of Augustus.
He was married to Francis Caroline DEAN (daughter of Moses Carnal DEAN Sr. and Lucinda R. SHERMAN) on Oct 11 1856. The information on the members and birth dates of this family are from the 1850 Census records for Granville County. The family lived in the Tar River District. Francis Caroline DEAN was born on Aug 7 1836. She died on Jul 7 1894.
Nancy (Nannie) GORDON (daughter of William H GORDON and Sara Jane DEAN) was born about 1846.
