Relatives in All Directions!Updated January 5, 2008 |
Here are the many branches and roots that connect us all! Basically containing: Genest family, French Canadians, who came to Massachusetts in the 1890s and from France centuries before that Friend family, of Swedish decent, who came here centuries ago and lived in the Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania area, including Friendsville and Swede's Delight in MD, and New Sweden in PA The Grineff family, from Odessa, Ukraine, who came here to escape the Bolsheviks in the early 1900s, always intending to return in a better political climate, which never happened The Dombrowski, Pawetk (Paul), and Ryba families, who left Poland around the early 1900s The Sparks, Graves, and Prouty families, who were very early English settlers of the New World The Hannan family, Irish, and the Barbernitz family, Hungarian, who settled in the Baltimore, MD, area, in the late 1800s and early 1900s respectively The next goals are: - to further the Polish lineage - to follow the Russian line back to Ukraine - to find out more about my grandparents' parents and grandparents - to find Genest and Friend relatives now living and find out how they came to be where they are Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have. |
