67. JOHN13 TITUS (SAMUEL12, ABIGAIL11 CARPENTER, WILLIAM10, WILLIAM9, ROBERT8, JOHN7, JAMES6, WILLIAM5, JOHN4, JOHN3, RICHARD2, JOHN1) was born June 20, 1703 in Rehoboth, Bristol, Massachusetts138, and died October 13, 1785138. Notes for J
OHN TITUS:
"Your Ancestors" cites the John Titus who m. Mary Daggett as the son of John and Hannah _____, not this son of Samuel and Elizabeth (Johnson). This should be verified. The records show a marriage between John and widow Margaret Wheaton, both of Rehoboth by Rev. John Greenwood on Oct. 15, 1747, with
intentions posted on Sep. 12, 1747. The death of Margaret, wife of John is recorded on Oct. 11, 1752.

Notes for E
LIPHALET CARPENTER:
He bought land in Woodstock, Conn., in 1708 and 1712, and sold land in 1715; and it is supposed that he died about this time. (This can't be right as his last child was born after 1735.)

Eliphalet Carpenter of Woodstock in the County of Suffolk, in the Province of Massachusetts Bay in New England, house wright, in consideration of 20 pounds in current money of the Province of Massachusetts Bay, paid by his uncle William Carpenter, of the Town of Attleboro, in the North Purchase lands of Rehoboth, now known as Attleboro, containing 40 acres, "being one-third
part of an allotment which was laid out and recorded to my honored grandfather, William Carpenter, deceased, given by him in his last Will to three of his sons, namely: John, William and Benjamin, the three allotments consisting of 160 acres, the said William Carpenter having bought his brother Benjamin's part
etc." (Dated) December 20th, A.D. 1716.
