YOUTH DIES IN HOSPITAL --- Alfred J. Wambergue, 19-year-old son of M r. and
Mrs. Moise Wambergue, 1722 Kinsella Avenue, Swansea, died at 3 o'clock
yesterday morning in St. Elizabeth's Hospital.
Ill for six months, he underwent a serious spine operation last De cember 11
in St. Luke's Hospital, St. Louis. He was paralyzed after the operat ion and
Friday was removed to the hospital here.
Before being stricken, he was associated with his father in the op eration of
a coal hauling business. During the war, he was a member of the Civi l Air
Patrol. He was graduated from the Cathedral High School and played t wo years
on the school's football team.
The deceased was born in Swansea July 21, 1929, and his mother wa s the
former Loretta Gabel, a native of Belleville. His father was born i n Ohio.
Besides his parents, he leaves a brother, Norman, at home, and a s ister,
Marie, wife of Norman Kettler, 708 South Church Street.
