Clemmie Clark Bishop in a letter dated 11 July 1977 says that this man her father Alex's grea t grandfather killed a deer in the highlands of Scotland etc. His name was originally McKenzi e but he had to flee to the lowlands and change it.
Parish register of Fyvie indicates that in 1754 John Clark in Cromblet had a child baptized n amed Alexander.

1841 Census of Fyvie has an Alexander Clark at Smiddyburn age 90 so born abt.1751. Could b e the same guy.
