Erno Grunfeld and Ilona Pfeiffer-Sipos
Grunfeld Erno married Pfeifer-Sipos Ilona in 1938. They were separated by World War II for 5 years. Ilona was in Auschwitz and Erno was taken to a Russian slave labor camp. They had a child, Laszlo Grunfeld, in 1948. Hungarianization of names had forced them to change the family name to Gardonyi in the early 1950's.
