We are looking for information on Harve Clementine Edwards and Virgie Ethel Hildebrand. He was born June 10, 1880 in Union Center,Illiniois, and married Virgie Ethel Hildebrand. She was born April 21, 1885 in Bengal, Indiana and married our Grandfather, Harve C. on June 18, 1900. Harve and his Brother, Pheletis, homesteaded on the Mussellshell in Montana, around 1915. His Brother was also known as Pete and he also had a half brother Bert Woodward. He also had 4 sisters, which we do not know who they are as we only have their married names. His parents were Pheletis and Flora Belle (Chancellor) Edwards. P. W.(as he was known) was born in Cumberland County, Ill. in 1852 and he married Flora Belle Chancellor in 1879. P. W.'s parents were Eli and Elizabeth Edwards, which were born in Ohio but early settlers in Illinois. Virgie Hildebrand had 2 known brothers, Ross and Irvie and a half brother, Albert, Hildebrand. She had a stepmother named Tessie. Harve and Virgie lost their homestead on the Mussellshell and moved to Park County, Montana, in 1925. They had 9 children, and they moved to Twin Falls, Idaho. He was a farmer and she was a housewife. In Harve's obituary he lists relatives as Pete in Gettysburg, Pa., and Bert in Sanford, Ill. He died in Twin Falls, Idaho in 1950. Virgie also died in Twin Falls, Idaho in 1972. Any information would be greatly appreciated. |
