In 1900, the farm they owned at Helenwood, Tennessee, is listed as owned free and clear of any mortgages. Since Clarissa, the youngest child, is listed as having been born in Scott County, Tennessee in January of 1890, we can with some certainty date the move to Tennessee as occurring between October of 1889 and January of 1890.
