bulletJohn S. STRICKLER was born before 1808. Jacob Baltzly willed one tenth of his estate to the "natural son" of his daughter Elizabeth. The will states this son was "called Johnny." Also, he was to receive 50 pounds Pennsylvania money. All "to be paid to him where he shall come to be of full age." This will was dated 19 Dec 1827 and probated 23 Jan 1828.

John was willed one third of his uncle, Daniel Batlzley's, estate. This will, dated 24 Jun 1824, named John S. Strickler as his sister's son; his sister being "Elizabeth intermarried with John Barnhart." Daniel also left one third to Elizabeth, held in trust by John Strickler for the care of his mother.

Frances Balsly willed all of her possessions to her grandson, John Strickler (son of Elizabeth Shallenberger formerly Elizabeth Barnhart) in her will dated 19 Dec 1827. Her possessions included: "my clock, ten plate stoe, one bedstead and bedding, one copper kettle, two cows, two iron kettles, one cupboard, one bureau, and every other article and thing that I may be possessed of at my death as also whatever money I may have remaining after my debts..." She named John Strickler her sole executor. This will was probated 23 Jan 1828. Parents: ? STRICKLER and Elizabeth BALSLEY.
