Bertha Beatrice Hall (daughter of Guy Vernard Hall and Mary Emma Clark) was born 15 Mar 1896 in Mapleton, Pennsylvania, and died 08 Jul 1979 in Painted Post, Pennsylvania. She married Lloyd Warren Chase on 04 Aug 1919 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, son of Lewis Dorman Chase Jr and Lois Olive Sheffer.

lived in log house in Mapleton, PA - later father built a new house on the same land
age 7 moved to Winburne, PA next door to Chase family
fell thru barn floor in Mapleton and broke her back
went to Kylertown for 7th and 8th grades - worked for an old lady for $1.00 per week
lived at home 3 years of high school 1911-1914 (Class of "06)
boyfriend = Lloyd Chase
went to teachers training and qualified
then to Women's Medical College in Philadelphia, PS
graduated in October 1917, 1st in her class - always loved nursing
worked at WMC 1 1/2 years for $5.00 per day
wonderful Christian lady, loving mother, worked hard in Painted Post Methodist Church, very happily married, active until death
died in sleep 17 months after Lloyd
