Jenny Jane Kennedy (daughter of Kennedy and unknown) was born 1842 in Alabama¹³⁰⁶, and died Abt. 1920 in her daughter's (Alvernia) home, Dennison, Ohio. She married Hampton Getty Hall on Abt. 1862, son of Thomas Hall and Nancy M..

Notes for Jenny Jane Kennedy:
"She was born on a large plantation in the South. They had a school and church for the slaves on their plantation. There were thirteen children in their family, and she was next to the youngest. When she was eight years old, cholera struck through the South. In two or three days, her mother, her oldest sister and her husband, two of her brothers and many slaves died of it. People dropped dead in the street with it. They were buried in great graves, just thrown in with lime over them. That tragedy was ever in her eyes. [ the American Peoples Encyclopedia lists six major cholera epidemics in the United State. We think this must have been 1854, or perhaps 1848-9.] She was taken to Illinois to live with a friend. There she grew up and, at a dance on one of the big boats on the Ohio River, met Hampton Hall, whom she shortly married. They had six children. Her mother came from England. She passed away at 72 in her mother's home in Dennison, Ohio." per Edna Pearle Shields Palmer
