Earl used to visit her in a mental institution in Akron, Ohio. She only knew him sometimes.

She married and had 2 children - girls about my mother's age (1922)

Her husband was electrocuted at work at Goodyear. Goodyear took care of the girls.

She eventually was pregnant with a menopause child. She tried abortion, but he was born a mongoloid who couldn't see or hear. She blamed herself...thus, the institution. Once she was institutionalized, he was also.
