Came from Germany. Great Grandmother Honeck had 3 children and died. Minnie's father sent back to Germany for a young (10 yrs younger) bride. She raised the 3 children. Carrie, the younges and a "spoiled brat" never married and took care of the stepmother. All loved the stepmother. Minnie was a tee totaler. Carrie liked beer. Samuel Evan used to call it ginger ale when Minnie was around. Minnie and Carrie used to go to the coast with Samuel Evan, Marie, Sam, and John Gewin.
