240. * Daniel MCKISSICK
was born on 10 Apr 1754 in Northern Ireland. Could have been born in Scotland.
He died on 20 Jan 1827 in North Carolina. Found that it is believed that the
McKissick family came from Scotland to American, ca. 1754, after going to Ireland
then to England were they cought the ship to America. Landing in Pennsylvania.
Then they Immigrated to North Carolina, when the State line between the North
and South Carolina's were surveyed they found out that they were in South Carolina.
A coat of arms was Awarded to Adam McKissick in 1437.
A Captain Daniel McKissick became a sheriff after the Rev. War. He eventually
moved to Bedford Co., Tennessee where it is believed he died about 1817. He
was married to * Mary CUNNINGHAM before 1784. 241.
* Mary CUNNINGHAM was born on 16 Apr 1755 in South Carolina. She died on
21 Mar 1804 in South Carolina. Children were:

Daniel Pinckney MCKISSICK Sr.(232)
was born on 20 Jan 1787 in 96th District, Union County, SC.
(24) He died on 13 May 1854 in Clinton County, MO.
(233) Found listed that he died at the age of 68. Daniel and his
wife and five children left Tennessee and came with a wagon drawn by four horses
into Northwest Missouri. In the early years of their homesteading they depended
to a large extent for their provisions on wild game, and endured all the experiences
of the very earliest settlers. He was a noted as a deer hunter in Clinton County,
was a member of the Christian Church. Both were Christian people, and their
hospitality was known far and wide about their early home in Clinton County.
