6. * Aubrey Bertram CONE
(24) was born on 21 Sep 1896 in Preston,
Jasper, MO. He died on 2 Jun 1989 in Caldwell, Canyon, ID.
(2) Graveside services were held at Roswell Cemetery Tuesday. Aubrey,
92, of Roswell died Friday at the home of his wife Esther, in Homedale of natural
causes. Pastor Paul Nickens of the Parma Revival Center officiated under the
direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Homedale. Survivors included his wife
Esther, of Homedale; three sons, Raymond of Blackfoot, Stanley of Wilder and
Donald of Parma; One daughter, Leah Warren of Roswell; two brothers, Dr. William
Cone of Moscow and Dr. Frank Cone of Phoenix, Ore.; a sister, Lela McClenahen;
stepsons, stepdaughters, grandchildren, great grand children, and great great
grand children. He was preceded on death be his parents, two brothers, and his
first wife Edna. He was buried on 6 Jun 1989 in Roswell Cemetery, Roswell, Canyon,

Mr. Cone was raised and educated in Preston, Mo., moving to the Pearl,
Id., area with his family in 1910. He then moved to the Roswell Community where
he lived for 65 years. He was a farmer in Roswell and retired from farming in
1955. He loved his farm and hard work. Since retiring, he spent his time working
in his garden and was active in the Parma, Homedale and Marsing senior center
activities. He loved dancing and was particularly proud of the number of ladies
he taught to dance. He was married to * Edna FERRELL on 14 Feb 1921 in Caldwell,
Canyon, ID. 7. * Edna FERRELL
(24) was born on 28 Nov 1900 in Star,
Ada, ID. She died on 25 Aug 1965 in Caldwell, Canyon, ID.
(2) Edna Cone, 64, of Parma, died Wednesday in route to a Caldwell
hospital, will be conducted at the Parma Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel at 2 p.m.
The Rev. Wayne Douglas of Sterry Memorial Presbyterian Church of Roswell will
officiate. Interment will be at Roswell. Survivors include her husband, Aubrey
B. Cone of Parma; three sons, Raymond A. Cone of Blackfoot, Stanley E. Cone of
Cambridge and Donald E. Cone of Satellite Beach, Florida; a daughter, Mrs. Leah
May Warren of Parma; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Pappas of Weiser and Mrs. Esther
Cleveland of North Ridge, Calif., and 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. She was buried on 28 Aug
1965 in Roswell Cemetery, Roswell, Canyon, ID.(16)
Children were:
i.
Raymond Aubrey CONE was born on 3 Aug 1922 in Malheur County, OR. Raymond
Cone grew up around Roswell, Idaho. The oldest of 4 children. He started school
in the fall of 1928. Being too close to school they were forced to walk. Part
of the time several groups rode a horse and buggy. The horses were kept in a
barn, located on the far side of the school. On the way home from school we
would stop at Steeles apple orchard, picking one, Mr. Steele never minded
as long as they ate them. He met Bette Peden while she attended school at Roswell.
He was drafted in October and served in Europe in the U.S. Army in World War
II. His wife and their first son spent time in Nebraska at her parents. He was
sent to the European Conflict. They returned to Idaho after his discharge. For
many years he tried farming, giving it up and becoming a meat cutter for Safeway
for ten years. After moving to Blackfoot, he spent 22 years as a mechanic at
Basic American Foods, a potato processor. Upon retirement Ray and Bette spends
their winter in Arizona and usually come back to their Blackfoot home in early
spring. They have a big yard, garden and flowers. Part of their summer is spent
at their Island Park place.

Stanley Edward CONE was born on 22 Dec 1923 in Parma, Canyon, ID. He died
on 26 Jun 1993 in Wilder, Canyon, ID.(2)
Stanley, age 69, of Wilder, died at his home of cancer. Graveside services
was conducted at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, at the Roswell Cemetery under the direction
of the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale. He was survived by his wife, Bertha
of Wilder; a son Brian Cone of Wilder; two daughters, Cheryl Verkerk and her
daughter Johanna of Kuna; and Janice Cone and her two sons, Cody and Casey Echevarria
of Boise; two brothers, Raymond Cone and his wife Bette of Blackfoot; Donald
and his wife Loise of Parma; a sister Leah and her husband Argie of Parma, and
numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was
buried on 29 Jun 1993 in Roswell Cemetery, Roswell, Canyon, ID.
(15) He was raised in Roswell, After he married they resided in the
Roswell area until he was drafted into the infantry, he was discharged in 1945.
Stanley farmed in the Parma, Grand View and Indian Valley area, returning to
Roswell in 1966. He operated farm machinery and heavy equipment. He was a 4-H
club leader for many years and helped organize a junior riding club. He especially
enjoyed working with youth groups and his hobby of rock collecting and lapidary
work. He make beautiful jewelry since retiring.

the name Eugene because it did not appear on his birth certificate. |
