28274. * Lt. Col. Walter ASTON(241) was born in 1606/7 in Longdon, Stafford, England. He was the 1st. American Staffordshire, England to Virginia about 1628. He died on 6 Apr 1656 in Charles City, Charles City, VA. He was buried in Westover, Charles City, VA. The burial site is on the James River. Walter Aston; served as burgess, Shirley Hundred, 1629-1630, 31-32, 32-33, Charles City Co., 1642-43; justice of the peace. He was named Lieutenant Colonial militia, Charles City County, Sept. 17, 1655. He patented 590 acres, July 26, 1638, on Kimage's Creek, of which land 200 acres, was known as "Cawsey's Care," was purchased by a deed dated Feb. 7, 1634, from John Causey, as heir of Nathaniel Causey (the rest of this land was due Aston for the transportation into Virginia of ten persons). He patented and additional 250 acres, Charles City, Apr. 10, 1643. Permission to probate his will granted in Charles City, January 25, 1657. He was married to * Hannah JORDAN (Narbow or Warbow) in 1624. He was married to * Hannah JORDAN (Narbow or Warbow).
