864. * Thomas HARDAWAY ^{(254) (255)} was born in 1685 in Charles City County, VA. Also have him being born in Scotland about 1684. He died in 1745 in Prince George County, VA. One story says he was found as a kidnapped child too young to give name, dressed in green silk velvet trimmed with gilt on board ship from England. ca. 1685: ship owner, Joseph Thomas, Quaker, of Philadelphia., named him Thomas Hardaway gave affidavit of discovery. Educated the child and saw him well established in life. Tradition says child was of family of MacBeth. He settled at "Osborns." Chesterfield County, Va. He was married to * Jane Drury STITH about 1705 in Prince George County, VA.

v. James HARDAWAY I was born on 10 Jul 1719 in Bristol, Prince George, VA. He died in 1770.
vi. Jane HARDAWAY was born on 26 Mar 1721 in Bristol Parish, Prince George, VA. She was christened on 1 Jun 1721 in Bristol, Prince George, VA. She died on 13 Dec 1799 in Mecklenburg County, VA.
