30. * Thomas Abram HILL ^{(27) (77)(78)} was born on 14 Sep 1823 in Carroll County, OH. He died on 23 Jan 1903 in Maysville, DeKalb, MO. ^(22)(69) Thomas died at his home, Friday. at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 9 days. Eleven children were born to him, six of whom are dead. His aged companion and five children survive him. The children are Mary M. Sheets, Elery E. Hill, of Everett, Kan., Georgia Phillips, of Alanthus, Mo., Elzora A. Hill and Abram S. Hill. Funeral services were held at the home on Saturday. The bereaved family had the sympathy of the community. He was buried in May 1903 in Maysville Cemetery, Maysville, DeKalb, MO. He served in the military in Aug 1962 in Fremont, , IL. Thomas served in the Civil War. He enlised in CompanyG. Volunteer infantry, serving three years in the Army, receiving his dischard at Louisville, Jefferson Ky, in August 1865. Thomas, was a highly respected pioneer citizen. In early life, Thomas moved to Fulton, Illinois where he was married to Harriet Swearingen. Mr. Hill answered his country's call and enlisted in Company G, volunteer infantry at Freemont, Illinois, and served three years in the army, receiving his discharge at Louisville, Ky., in August 1865. He was an Architect and Farmer. He was married to * Harriet Triphena SWEARINGEN on 10 Jul 1862 in Vermont, Fulton, IL.

31. * Harriet Triphena SWEARINGEN was born on 13 May 1845 in Vermont, Fulton, IL. She died on 25 Jan 1922 in Stansberry, Gentry, MO. She was buried on 26 Jan 1922 in Maysville Cemetery, Maysville, DeKalb, MO. Children were:

ii. Ira Albert HILL was born on 12 Jul 1867 in Illinois. He died on 1 Sep 1868.
iii. Nora Bell HILL was born on 7 Sep 1868 in Illinois. She died on 1 Apr 1869.
iv. Lottie May HILL was born on 9 Nov 1869 in Illinois. She died on 28 Oct 1874.
v. Elery Elden HILL was born on 30 Jun 1871 in Illinois. He died on 24 Apr 1946 in Onalaska, Lewis, WA.
vi. Ida Gay HILL was born on 29 Aug 1875 in Illinois. She died on 21 Mar 1876.
vii. Georgia LaVaun HILL was born on 2 Nov 1878 in Maysville, DeKalb, MO. She died on 11 Oct 1968 in Albany, Gentry, MO.
viii. Elzora Alice HILL was born on 13 Dec 1881 in Maysville, DeKalb, MO. She died on 8 Jul 1906 in Maysville, DeKalb, MO.^{(22) (22)} Elzora died at the home of her mother, at five minutes after one o'clock Monday night after a lingering illness. Her death was not unexpected. She was brought home from Kansas some few weeks ago to await the final summons. She bore her sickness with fine fortitude and it was pointed sorrow to her young friends here by whom she was loved and respected to see her drawing closer and closer to the brink as the days went by. She grew to womanhood here. They made their home in Kansas until a short time ago when it was thought best for her to come home where she could be cared for. The funeral services were held at the Christian church at 2:30, conducted by Elder E.C. Whitaker. She was buried in Maysville Cemetery, Maysville, DeKalb, MO. She is the Twin of Elzemer Olive.
ix. Elzemer Olive HILL was born on 13 Dec 1881 in Maysville, DeKalb, MO. She died on 22 Sep 1898 in Maysville, DeKalb, MO.^{(22) (22)} Elzema died at the home of her parents, at the age of 16 years, 8 months, 10 days. She was born, and lived in Maysville, until the time of her death. On January 7, 1894 she united with the Christian church and has been a faithful and active member ever since. She was a victim of consumption and had been sick for about a year. She had been confined to her bed only a week when her spirit passed away. Funeral services were conducted by J. S. Eldredge at the Christian church Saturday afternoon. She leaves both parents, two brothers and three sisters to mourn her death. The Herald joins friends in sympathy for those who mourn at this time. She is missed from the home, the church, the bible school and the public school. She was buried on 24 Sep 1898 in Maysville Cemetery, Maysville, DeKalb, MO. She is the Twin of Elzora Alice.
x. Jenney Rose HILL was born on 5 Mar 1885 in Maysville, DeKalb, MO. She died on 10 Oct 1891.^{(22) (22)} On Saturday morning Jennie, the six-year old daughter of Abe Hill and wife, passed over the river into the better land. She was taken with diphtheria the Sunday previous and the disease soon put out her young life. She was buried on Sunday at one o'clock. She was buried on 11 Oct 1891.
xi. Abram Sanford HILL was born on 16 Mar 1887 in Maysville, DeKalb, MO. He died on 5 Feb 1921.
