Yakama in 1912 in Yakima, Yakima, WA. He died on 19 Feb 1932 in Yakima, Yakima, WA.⁽¹²⁵⁾⁽¹²⁶⁾⁽¹²⁷⁾ Joseph died at the age of 76 years, 0 months, 13 days, at home on Jefferson Lane, Yakima, WA. He had lived in Washington for 23 years. At the time of his death he was listed as a Dairy farmer. He died of Apoplexy after three days of treatment. He was survied by his wife, Mollie; five sons, Richard, Joseph, Claude and Clay McKissick of Yakima and Jay McKissick of Gridley, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Ferrell of Parma, Ida., Mrs. Lew Clark of Boise, Ida., Mrs. May Young and Mrs. Alice Finch of Yakima. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 from the Shaw & Webb Chapel with the Rev. J. Johnson officiating. He was buried on 22 Feb 1932 in Tahoms Am, Yakima County, WA.⁽¹²³⁾⁽¹²⁴⁾ Funeral was under the direction of Shaw & Webb Undertakers, of Yakima, Washington. Joseph moved to Idaho in 1894, then moved to Washington state around 1900. He was listed as living in North Yakima, Yakima, Washington in 1912 when his mother died.

He was married to * Martha " Mattie" Jane JENNINGS (daughter of * Aaron "Andrew" JENNINGS and * Huldah Lane VAN NESS) on 30 Dec 1874. * Martha " Mattie" Jane JENNINGS⁽¹²²⁾ was born on 29 Jan 1859 in Doniphan, Doniphan, KS.⁽¹¹⁶⁾ ⁽¹²⁰⁾ She died on 11 Jan 1903 in Curlew Lake, Ferry, WA.⁽³³⁾⁽¹²⁸⁾⁽¹²⁹⁾ After six weeks of suffering from burns received on Thanksgiving day, she died Sunday morning at Dr. Manly's hospital. While preparing a Thanksgiving dinner at her home near the toll of Curlew lake, here dress caught fire, and she was severely burned about the back. The wounds were nearly healed, but great suffering brought on other complications which proved more than her constitution could endure.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church by Rev. A. S. Alien, attended by a large number of friends. Deceased was 44 years of age, and leaves a husband and seven children, three of whom are under 12 years of age, who have the sympathy of the entire community in their great loss.
