47. Richard W. MCKISSICK (64) was born on 27 Oct 1858 in Madison, Fremont, IA. He was born on the McKissick homestead in Madison township. He died on 1 Jul 1900 in Fremont County, IA. He died at the age of 42 years, 8 months and 4 days. The funeral was conducted from the Baptist church, at 2 o'clock p.m., monday, by Rev. Simonus and a large number of friends followed the remains to its last resting place. Mr McKissick leaves numerous relatives in Hamburg and Madison township and four young daughters and a son to mourn the loss of their only parents, the mother having died some years since. He was buried on 2 Jul 1900 in Hamburg Cemetery, Fremont County, IA. (133) Richard 's life had been spent in and near Hamburg. He was living with Howard (his brother) in Jan. 1885.

He was married to Minnie BARNES. Minnie BARNES was born on 10 May 1860. She was the daughter of Thomas Edman and Lydia Matilda Barns. She died on 23 Nov 1892 in Fremont County, IA. She was buried on 23 Nov 1892 in Hamburg Cemetery, Fremont County, IA. (134) Richard W. MCKISSICK and Minnie BARNES had the following children:

She died on 9 Feb 1908 in Fremont County, IA.(33) The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Baptist church and was attended by a large circle of friends including the members of the high school and eight grade of the public school who attended in a body. The sermon was delivered by Rev. Williams. Millie was the youngest child of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. McKissick and was sixteen years old. Since the death of her mother which occurred when she was a mere babe she has made her home with her grand-parents James Barnes and wife. She leaves to mourn her death three sisters and one brother. She was buried on 10 Feb 1908 in Hamburg Cemetery, Fremont County, IA. (135)
