"And he shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth w/ a curse".....
I'm from a big family w/ many many generations yrs back. 5 or more yrs ago I have the priviledged to find my ancestors for both my Mother and Fathers side of the family.... It was an exciting experience in finding those but some of the Informations they would not release due to gov't laws back home in the Islands. I went along and do my own research by asking my immediate family members but I got a few informations from them. And there I stop and don't know where else to go for more histories or stories about these ancestors who were gone before me. I am blessed to have families who help one another in gathering informations for our Loved ones who need to be found................. I pray the search will cont' for the sake of other family members.
Our Recent Family Reunion in New Zealand during the Month of December 1985-1986...... Uncle Osoga Gisa and Aunty Lei Lio,Aunty Sese Moka we're hosting this family reunion for our "GISA FAMILY". It was the Happiest moment of our lives and able to remember the good times we shared as families. We met other cousins who we've never heard or seen before and finally met our Irish Aunt who married Dad's brother Uncle Osoga(Orson). We also met our Grandmothers relatives were @ the gathering or family service from the day 1. Dad's have 8 or 9 siblings... He had 4 sisters:Aunty Sese Te'o(Missiouri),Aunty Lei Lio(NZ),Aunty Safuiono Si'ufanua(Am.Samoa),Aunty Sese Moka(NZ). And brothers:Uncle Lueli Gisa(Decease),Uncle Osoga Gisa(Decease NZ),And other 3 died when their infant.... We didn't have any Reunion after our other Uncles died and it's been a long time.....
We all have responsibility in our lives but the love we have for each other as families just like a Quilt blankets..... Hopefull we have more informations I will find for my ancestors. Let's hope for the Best and cont' on searching....................................
