The Goodwins of Revere Massachusetts lineate from Douglas Earl Goodwin, who was an engineer on a fishing vessel and immigrated to the United States from Nova Scotia during the early part of the twentieth century. Douglas Earl Goodwin married Mary Ann Campbell and settled into the north shore community of Revere Massachusetts. Douglas and Mary Ann bore five children throughout their marriage: Henry, Marcella, Katherine, Donald and Marianne.
Henry bore two children between tours of duty in both Korea and Viet Nam with his ex-wife Nettie Carrabas: Douglas and Anthony.
Marcella married Daniel Pauley and gave birth to two daughters: Lisa and Bernadette.
Katherine or "Kay" married Charles Myette who then had two sons and a daughter: Charles, Kathleen and Robert.
Donald married Margaret Buckley and had three sons and a daughter: Donald the second, Jeremiah, Ann Marie and John. Donald was later divorced and re-married Alice Kalligheri. He had two more sons with Alice: Brian and Douglas Earl Goodwin the second.
Marianne married Gerard Rufo and gave birth to three sons: Gerard, John and Douglas. John and Douglas were born as twins.
Douglas and Anthony, who are the sons of Henry and Nettie pursued, careers in the military as their father did. Douglas was married twice during his military service and bore a daughter Lenora with his first wife and a daughter Stevie with his second and current wife Te Suk of Korea. Anthony, after a thirteen-year tour of duty in the Army joined the Revere Police Department and married Mary Margaret Mulligan. Anthony and Mary Margaret have yet to have any children.
Lisa, a registered nurse and the daughter of Marcella and Daniel, married Kevin O’hara and gave birth to a son and a daughter: Kevin and Shannon. Lisa was divorced from Kevin and re-married Thomas Belshner. Bernadette, also the daughter of Marcella and Daniel is an actress in New York City and has yet to be married.
Charles, the son of Kay and Charles, married Silvana and had a son, Steven and daughter Vanessa. Charles is a teacher and basketball coach in the Newton school system. Kathleen married Robert Belshner, the brother of Thomas Belshner, and gave birth to a daughter, Caitlin, and son, Daniel. Kathleen is a registered nurse, also. Robert married Denise Donovan and had a daughter, Allison, and son, Christopher. Robert is a GIA certified jeweler in Boston’s prestigious Jewelers Building.
Donald, the first son of Donald Sr. and Margaret Buckley, married Maria Ambrosino and had two sons: Donald the third and Anthony. Donald the second, who is also the CEO of The Goodwin Oil Company, has a long history of public service in the City of Revere as a member of the School Committee, followed by three terms as the Ward Five Councilor and currently the Superintendent of Public works for the City of Revere. Jeremiah married Gail Petrillo and had two sons: Jeremiah the second and Justin. Jeremiah served in the Air Force and is currently serving as a Sergeant in the Revere Police Department. Ann Marie married Jeff DiSabatino and bore two sons: James and Michael. Ann Marie later divorced Jeff. Ann Marie is a hairdresser by occupation; but a recent brain aneurysm has interrupted this career. John married Sharon Giachinta and had two sons: Nicholas and Ryan and two daughters: Meagan and Rachel. Nicholas and Ryan were born premature as twins. Ryan died shortly after birth. John is currently serving as a Detective in the Revere Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division. Brian, the first son of Donald Sr. and Alice Kalligheri, is unmarried and serving as a detective in the Revere Police Department’s Drug Control Unit. Douglas Earl the second is married to Vincenza Tumbiolo and employed as a Deputy Sheriff in the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department. Douglas and Vincenza have yet to have children.
