Silas & Agnes Elizabeth (Tannyhill) Arnold left McArthur, Ohio sometime after May 1869, in a covered wagon pulled by four matched mules, with four daughters and one son. They stopped for a few years in Coshocton, Ohio where two more girls were born. They then proceeded to Whiting, Kansas by way of Kentucky, Indiana, and Missouri sometime after May 1880. In later years Silas quit farming and moved to Kansas City where he had a cobblers shop.
