Jean Jacques (Jacob) Bonnett (son of David Daniel (Louis) Bonnette and Christine Causine) was born Bet. 1701 - 1702 in Friedrichsthal, Baden, Germany, and died Bef. 1743 in Paoli, Chester Co., Pennsylvania. He married Anna Marie Desreux, daughter of Abraham (Abram) Desreux and Judith Guerit.

Jean Jacques Bonnett and Anna Marie Desreux had ten children. They immigratted to Pennsylvania arriving at hte Port of Philadelphia on the"Elizabeth" of Rotterdam on August 27, 1733. Two of their children, Sussanna (age 4) and Christina (age 2) died in route. The settled in Chester County, Pennsylvania where he died somethime before 1753.
