At the time of her daughter Antje's marriage, Grietje was "long since deceased", so was probably deceased before her husband. He died 14 March 1815 although his death certificate indicates that she was living in Gersloot. Death certificate for her was not filed with her daughter's marriage application, but one was filed for Auke. He was survived by eight children, so he and Grietje had at least that many.
