Mother died of T.B. when Frusina was aged about 7 years.
Father Vladimir Meirans was in charge of men on (council work ?). He tendered for work - involved in the drainage of land(?) then used to hire the men.
Frusina arrived in UK by ship at Tilbury docks; it was a pea soup fog 13 Jul 1948.
She thinks she sailed from Hamburg.
She says she left Latvia in 1943 or 1944.
She was only born in Pildas but raised in Riga. Moved to Riga in order to attend high school (the "No. 1 school" as stated by her)
